Need 600€ rig

Hello, my friend recently asked if I could give him advice on what parts to buy for his new gaming PC. Now I'm no expert in this so I don't trust myself completely. So far I found this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4XTDNG as the best choice for him price/performance wise. Any better suggestions or upgrades to my parts list? Price range is about 600€

The r9 285 and the 500w power supply. This is on thin ice, maybe a 600w power supply maybe in order rather than a 500w power supply just to be sure.
