Hi. I'm going to have a new gaming machine assembled and will probably bring over my Samsung 840 pro 256g and have windows and a few games on it. I want to get a second SSD with 1TB for games. Something like a 970 Pro would be cool but I don't want to shell out that much for an SSD so I'm thinking an 860 Evo or something like that. I'm not too familiar with the current state of SSDs all I know is that the ones that go in a PCIe slot are a little faster and a lot more expensive?
The questions I want to ask are as follows.
1. Would a more expensive SSD load games much faster than an 860 Evo? For Example a 970 Pro 512GB is about $200 where as an 860 Evo 1TB is $160. Would I notice much of a difference in load times going with the pro or not really? Or even something like a 970 Evo or 960 Pro would those be a lot faster?
2. There are 3 different types of 860 EVO SSDs that I can see. There's the regular SATA 3, an M.2 and an mSATA one. What's the difference between these 3 other than the slots they go in?
Thanks
