I'm building a new system with a MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk motherboard and I'm finding myself in a bit of a bind. My existing case is 16.75 inches tall, 19 inches deep and 7.5 inches wide. My main constraint is the height as my existing case is wedged in under the framework of my desk and at 19 inches deep the front of my existing case is flush with the side of the desk. I've been looking for a case that's 16.75 inches tall or less that will work for this build but I'm having trouble finding anything a short case. The only case that I've found that might fit is a Cooler Master Q500L. Does anyone know of any additional cases that meet the height requirement?

I did some looking and none of the big names seem to have anything else that short (most are 17.25 at best). Jonsbo has a D41 Mesh, but otherwise you're looking at custom jobs which will cost a significant amount of money or crossing your fingers on something from aliexpress etc.

One of the best cases ever build falls under that height requirement. It's amazing to build in. (this will be little wider, but under a desk I think it would work fine).

I love the AIR cause it takes ATX boards and power supplies no problems!!

I'm loving this case! Do not mix it up with MINI cause that case requires SFX power supplies only (BOOOO)

DIMENSION(D) 400 X (W) 288 X (H) 384 mm

8.1 inches wide; 13.8 tall; 18.1 deep;

Asus AP201

Main drawback: it has a highly unconventional PSU mount location; immediately in back of the front panel, I think at any of 3 possible heights; not floor, not ceiling.

PSU mount location forces the use of an interior extension cable.........which can prove to be all but impossible for SOME only SOME power supplies, depending on the exact configuration of the PSU's socket.

It's a long story.

Supposed to be an excellent case if your particular PSU is compatible and if you can live with the fact that the PSU rocker switch cannot be accessed without removing a panel.

It's been a few weeks and thought I would update this thread. I finally went with a Silverstone SST-PS11b-W case for my new build. Although the specs said that the case was taller than my old 16.75 inch case, it was actually slightly shorter which worked well for me as it slid in under my desk. According to the guy that did my build, he indicated that this was actually a very nice case and was very easy to work on. Although the case came with a fan we replaced it and added 2 additional fans so now all the fans are all Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM, Ultra Quiet Silent Fans and my new system is ultra quiet and very cool.

This is almost perfect even for me, there is room for everything! A little bit wide, 3 centimeters would hang in the air for me. What I don't understand is why don't they make extra version with full metal side panel.
Only one dubious company is selling this in my country.
