need a better power supply/getting a new Graphics Card

Ok, so I'm getting a new Graphics Card and I need a better power supply and I don't know what kind of power supply do I need or if I can even run everything that I'm putting in my computer ok so this is the card I'm getting.

Yes, you do need a new power supply. 218W on the 12 volt rail is not really enough for a modern computer with GPU.

You have selected a good mid-range, comparatively low power draw GPU and the model you have selected does not require additional power from the PSU, drawing all of it's maximum 60 Watts from the PCIe slot it is in.

You do not need 500W.

That said, TODAY (because of rebates) I would buy this power supply https://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-neoeco620c

If the rebate were not available, I would buy this: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-ea380dgreen, or this https://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9 if the Antecs are not available.

These are the cheapest power supplies that I would want to use, and which provide sufficient wattage. If there were lower wattage PSU's, cheaper, and of good quality I would recommend them, but there are not.

You can, do you already have it? The ones I suggested are better and/or cheaper.

no i don't have it the 65 MAX +5v & +12V 218 MAX is the power supply that came with the computer

The EVGA is OK. The ones I suggested are better. At the moment, this one https://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-neoeco620c is both cheaper AND better if you get it from newegg.com
