Need a build now for gaming, but looking at Steamroller in the future

I really want to support AMD's Steamroller but I kinda need to build a gaming rig right now. I'm thinking I'd get an ASUS 990X Evo mobo paired with a Phenom II X4 965 BE, plus a 7950. Would this be a good idea?

You might have a bit of a bottleneck unless you are willing to overclock. I would get one of the 8 core CPU's if I were you, like the fx 8320 or fx 8350.

I am open for mild-medium overclocks. The problem for that would be the money since I will be upgrading to Steamroller when it comes out and I'm just looking for a temporary CPU right now that could game at 1080p at decent frames.
