Alright so my friend wants mew to build him a PC but i don't know what components to pick. He works at a tool and die workplace so he will need a PC that can run and render images like for Graphic Design Programs. Sorry if this is a little vague im pretty tired. If you have any questions feel free to ask! :) This is a work station build and not a gaming build.

Solution

This will be good if you want an i7. It will be a bit more expensive, even with cutting out a dedicated GPU...

A budget would help...

Yea i guess it would i guess 800$ to 1000$

Just a computer? Does he need a monitor, keyboard, speakers, etc. as well?

Monitor,keyboard,mouse,and just the essential

The onboard graphics are pretty good with this chip for light gaming. If he plays newer games quite a bit, you can add a GTX 950/960. And depending on how much image rendering he does, you might swap the CPU to an i7 6700, which will reduce render times a little.

Solution

Would he even need a GPU since its only a work station and only using Graphic design programs?

If he is only doing graphic design programs, he would be fine without one.

Okay Thanks
