First of all if this is in the wrong section sorry i didn't find section for this to go with.

So this is my problem this may i moved from my horrible childish pc desk that i grew up with to an even horrid table that is too short and uncomfortable i also plan to do upgrades to my pc this December and i am going to get rid of my horrible tables this month the first opportunity i get
i have tried looking at stores for tables but they don't fit my needs i have a nice and comfortable office chair that is fine and looks good as i am using a car's seat cover and it looks gr8 too but it doesn't align with my table the keyboard mouse like an inch higher than they should be the monitor hanged on the wall aches my neck

My plan is to get a carpenter that i know making a design of the size and specification that i tell him of.
I want to get the table to be aesthetically pleasing and fit 3 24 monitors with ease i don't have ikea in my country (I do have interwood) so i can't get nice tables it should also be super comfortable.

But i have no idea how to start with
-is there a good ikea table that i should be using the design of ?
-how much should the height be ?
-how long is it ok for three 22-24 inch monitors
- what is the best place to keep the chasis ?
- should the monitor be kept on a place higher than where the keyboard mouse is placed ?
- what do u guys use ? recommend to friends ect ?

My needs:
to keep it as good looking as it could be
keep the wires vanished from sight
comfortable comfortable comfortable !!!
no fixed budget can get anything but should be worth the price
to get 3 monitors (as above)
and a case like a 900D to go on the side and show off its looks

If I remember this correctly, the desk height should be determined by the proper seated position in your desk chair. The desk chair should be at such a height as allows for your feet to set comfortably flat on the floor. Your keyboard should be of such height as to allow your forearms to rest parallel to the floor.

So. Sit up straight in your chair with your feet, flat on the floor. Let your arms hang loose and then lift your forearms until they are parallel to the floor. Have a friend measure the distance between your elbows and the floor. This should be the height of your keyboard and all other measurements should take this into account.

As for the monitor level, if you're sitting straight up in your desk chair, eye level should fall anywhere between the center and the top of your display

Again, this is if I remember it all correctly.

I will give you some information about my computer desk that I am very happy with. Use this as a guide.

1. Dimensions - 48" wide, 24" deep, 30" high (My other computer desks are all 30" high).
2. Have three 24" Dell Ultra Sharp monitors. 3" overhang on each of the two end monitors.
3. Right pedestal has five 110 VAC outlets and 1 master switch. Also has one slide out tray for storage of DVDs, manuals. No left pedestal. Oak door hides everything.
4. Solid oak construction (no veneer). Excellent piece of furniture!
5. Oak keyboard tray slides out and has an oak panel to close when in the retracted position. The keyboard slide-out tray has left and right mini slide out sub trays 8" x 8" convenient for the placement of headphones, USB flash drives, note pad, etc. (NO coffee or any other liquids around or within 10 feet of my computer desk!).
6. Purchased from a furniture store (not an upscale store). They do not normally specialize in computer desks but had this one; I bought it on the spot and loaded it inside my Jeep right away.
7. Best of all, after ten years I still have the label. Anthony California, Inc. - Mission Oak Computer desk - Item #W5129. - http://www.anthonyshowrooms.com/

Good luck!

Let me try. I have pics of the desk with the computer ON and with different images on the 3 monitors. I need to refresh my memory on posting pics. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

Don't miss the objects at the top left of the computer case (in the background) and at the top right of the desk phone! :)

the leaning tower of dvd's??? the best for me is a pen if I don't need it I seem to have to move it around pick it up cause it rolled off gets under the keyboard and all that , but now I need to write so its the ''where the heck is that pen'' or any pen its now a 10 min. hunt for it ?? if I don't need it its all ways in the way when I do need it its gone vanished .. never fails

I used to have a very nice 4'x6' L-Shaped workbench with a keyboard tray, but I had to give that away when I moved. Now I just have a simple tower corner desk similar to this.

To be perfectly honest, I don't see anything at Ikea that I would purchase. My least hated would be something like this, but I'm not sure on the actual size and whether you could get three good sized displays on there.
