Need a computer for son's gaming and my typing

Does this seem like a decent computer for gaming (i.e. warthunder, ark):
FM2+socket motherboard with Latest A88X chipset and AMD A6 FM2+ CPU (3.2 Ghz base speed ,3.8 Ghz turbo speed as per official AMD specifications. EVGA GTX 780Ti graphics card (DVI, HDMI). Hard Disk Drive : 1TB SATA and 6 GB DDR-3 RAM

I asked because an APU processor and dedicated GPU are redundant. You could change it to Athlon x4 860K which should be better match for that.

it is already put together. I would build one for him myself but no clue as to what gpu or processor or any thing else. I'm sure I could learn but I'd hate to build one and then he not be able to play ark and war thunder and anything else that comes along.

Is that something I could do myself, and if so, would it then be a really good gaming computer?

no, the graphics card would work great, but the cpu would bottleneck the whole sytem. Try a better processor like an i3

Is an i3 good enough. I see i7s out there. The more I look, the more confused I get.
