I don't know $67 for something that gains 2-3 degrees over a $35 212 EVO would be a tough sale for me. Lapping my 212 was worth 5C alone.

wanting a rvz01, thinking about node 804 but i cant put that into my backpack. and budget isnt a deal.

If you go with the rvz01 you have clearance for 83mm according to tech powerup http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Silverstone/Raven_RVZ01/.
So for air cooling probably the noctua nh-l12 is a good option.
