Need a decent CPU (AM3+ Scoket)

So I have the Asus Crosshair V Formula motherboard, with a AMD-FX 4100 CPU.

I decided to upgrade the curent cpu, as it won't allow me to record my game footage, always CPU usage at 100%, and lags -_-. (Can't be the GPU, have 2x7970 Crossfire)

I am not sure which CPU should I get, which will be good for gaming and recording at the same time.

Some people Recommend to buy Phenom II 980 x 4 cores.

What you guys think, is there any better AM3+ CPU's in the market right now?

Or should I look at AMD Phenom II X6 1090T too?

A 1090t would b way better or a 8350, since u got the crosshair V it deserves either a X6 or the 8350 lol
