Need a decent processor

i am planning to get a pc upgrade

my current pc specs are:
AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.90 GHz
8GB of RAM
f2a58m-hd2 motherboard

i am planning to get a gtx 1060 and get rip of my APU, im also going to get an extra stick of 8GB RAM but i need a processor which is decent and in the price range of around £100-£150 any suggestions?

also will these new parts work with my motherboard? i know its a very cheap one so if necessary i will replace

Rock & hard place mate here.
There's nothing worth upgrading to on that socket board.
In all fairness the a8 will perform sort of OK with a 1060 - you'll be able to run ultra settings , but don't expect more than 50-60fps.

£150 would just get you an i3 6100 & budget motherboard.
The problem is you'd need another £40 because you need ddr4 ram on the skylake chipset.

My advice - buy the 1060, see how you go , if you're not happy save a bit more money & upgrade properly to an i5 when you can afford it.

To get any cpu worth the upgrade that will run well with a 1060 cost you'll also need a new motherboard and possibly ram.

if you can, do you think you could link me the exact 1060 i should get because i dont know the difference between the others

get whichever 1060 you find cheapest.just consider skipping the 3GB version
