Need a dsl modem gaming

Greetings folks, of the Networking forum. it seem that my old Motorola DSL Modem 2210-02 is about ready to die. been using it to game on the xbox and pc. but in the last few days start ri freak out and disconnect like crazy, must be overheating , been looking around on few web sites. can someone please help me?

A DSL modem just translates the Ethernet from one form to another, so it does not matter what type you get as long as it is compatible with your DSL provider. But avoid the combo modem/routers; it is better to get them separate.
