Hey guys,
I am gonna build a gaming PC swim. Main parts are
Cpu- i5 6600
Mobo- Asus z170 pro gaming
GFX- this is what I want..I was thinking any the 970 but slot or people say it's not future proof via of 4gb cram....then my second option would be sapphire r9 390 8g....is there anything else u can suggest? Budget - 350 usd

before buying the i5-6600 doesn't really need a z170 board, just get a gigabyte h170 d3hp. Wait 1 month, for 350$ you will get a better one like gtx 980 or sapphire r9 fury, just wait for the prices adjustment after nvidia and amd release on the market their new products

If your CPU is i5 6600 then you should change it and rather buy i5 6600k, as overclockable Processors are more future proof.
Regarding the GPU, I think you should wait for AMD's Polaris GPUs release which should happen during June 2016. The newer Polaris GPUs will be much powerful and a lot Power efficient. You would be able to go for a R9 480X or R9 490.
Good luck 😉
