Need a Gaming PC - Budget is 400-500$

I need a Gaming PC! My budget is 400-500$. I want it able to play some modern games (ex. Far Cry 3, minecraft) at medium to high settings at a good fps. Please keep the parts in my budget. I have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Can it play modern games at medium settings?

Also, where can I get a cheap, windows os. I don't care if it is windows 8 or windows 7 or even windows xp. I just need it cheap

I havent explored the world of intel yet, but heres my opinion. (not too sure bout the cpu cooler though, since i added it last minuite) and maybe add an ssd.

here if you are willing to spend a bit more, and i changed the case,and added an ssd since the previous one wasnt usb 3.0 compatible

I guess you could go with linux or steam os. Maybe even windows 10 developer edition
