Need a good gaming Monitor

Hello. I'm getting my parts together for my PC and I'm running an i7-4790k with a GTX 770, and i need some help with the monitor. Basically 144hz and 1080p please. PS i live in au and my budget is about $300-$350

i was thinking either benq or asus, but is this one any good? are there any cheaper ones that will suffice?

I couldn't find any other 144Hz ones which were in your budget, as the 144Hz one that I would normally recommend is $450 in Australia. That one that I selected isn't quite as good but it is certainly still a good monitor though

yeah i would buy that for the US price........ ill think ill pick up bad-ish one from a pc store and then ill get a 1440p asus when the next generation of nvida gpus comes out, and when 1440p starts becoming standard

To be honest, I think that 4k will become the next standard as I can't see the prices of the 1440p monitors dropping that much

Damn dude, it's hard shopping there in Aus. I've got tons of online friends from there that stuck on console gaming just because they can't afford a good gaming rig. The prices are ridiculous. I just went on Amazon for Aus and the prices are just outrageous.
