[SOLVED] Need a KVM

I'm looking for a KVM to connect my home desktop and work laptop to share the monitor (HDMI), keyboard, and mouse. Back in the day, I had a physical KVM switch.

Is there any that doesn't require a physical device? I read that there are softwares now, but not sure how well they work.

You can use Windows Remote Desktop if you have The Pro or Enterprise version on your devices. Wouldn't have to buy anything.

I have windows pro on my work laptop, but windows home on my personal desktop.

I think the Home system can connect to the Pro system, so you initiate the Remote Desktop session from the desktop to the laptop.

This assumes both are connected to the same network and can "see" each other. You may also need to change your Remote Desktop settings on the laptop to allow systems to connect to it (Control Panel/System/Remote Settings).
