Need a laptop for photo editing $900 budget

I'm looking for a laptop that will be great at photo editing and daily use for school and work. Apple is too expensive, although I would have loved to buy MBP 15in.

For my budget there aren't many out there (that I have seen) but I want to see what the community thinks and advices.

I have a Dell Inspirion 13 7000 for college! Its great! Throw an SSD in there and you are blazing fast. It also slams any Apple laptop really

Go to best buy and have them (or you can try it yourself, but it is more difficult than usual) to have them put in a nice samsung or Intel SSD in there!

I would second the acer aspire v17 nitro black edition. I have heard a lot of good reviews about them. Just keep in mind that you will need to carry the charger as it has powerful internals but it is well worth it. I wish this laptop existed when I needed something light and powerful for my games course.

That is actually not a bad choice as it has a decent graphics card as well as processor and memory... I am concerned about the limited storage though as it comes with only a 256GB SSD..... Unless you will be storing your files on an external drive..

For now 256GB will suffice. As I usually save pictures on DropBox, but I will invest in an external HD when it starts to get full.
