Well if you don't mind going the refurbished route: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834258271

That gets you the touchscreen you wanted, and an A10 APU. At the $600 price point, the APU is the best you're going to get, and the 8650 isn't too bad at the 768p resolution.

If you want new, you can get the same APU, but no touchscreen: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313719

Both will do about medium quality around 30fps in most games, but BF4 and CPU-intensive games might need a little lower. The refurbished HP above also comes with free BF4 :) and the Lenovo comes with a free printer lol
Well, I'm no expert on laptops by any means, only laptop I have are netbooks :)

But, I think laptop specs scale pretty evenly around every component, i.e. gaming class laptops that have a strong gpu usually have high end components for its other parts too, so you can't really pick and choose and cut corners like you would for a desktop.

Laptop premiums are falling, but you'd be hard pressed to build even a desktop for that price range that can play BF4 comfortably, and you're throwing in the premium for brand name AND portability.

EDIT: If you don't mind a franken PC, you might consider mounting a monitor on the side of your desktop case and carry it around. You would need a light set up but it would probably give you a better performance dollar for dollar.

Laptops definitely don't scale evenly with components. OEMs still insist on increasing RAM and CPU power first before touching GPU strength, for whatever reason.

But yeah, that's the crux of pre-builts. You don't really start getting acceptable performance out of laptops until around $1000+ these days.

if you had to choose one laptop at $600 what would it be? I guess im looking for the best performance at that price point and ill tailor my games around whatever it can handle, leaving the more demanding games at home with my pc there.
