Assuming you have best i5 available for that MB, any aftermarket cooler with 3 heat pipes and 120mm fan should work fine. Other thing to worry about is cooler height so it can fit in the case.Mine broke. I dont know what type of cooling fan/heatsink i need i have a asus P8B75-m mobo and an i5 proccessor please help me and link one that would fit
You don't need to take the mobo out from the case, just lay it down, if the mobo have back plate or bracket it's more easy to install the heatsink rather than using push clip. If it using push clips, then you need to push the push clips really carefully and make sure it is in their hole, because sometime the push clips will be broken if you missplace it.how do i install this heatsink on my mobo? do i have to take the mobo out? or do i place the bracket onto the Proccessor?
