Need a new build!

Hey guys, I'm currently sick of my I3, Nvidia GT 640, 2TB build. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me a full quality build for the UK, I don't mind Intel or AMD whichever you thinks better. I will probably keep my 2TB hard drive so if you recommend me getting an SSD or even an SSD and a new HDD. I would also like a new case, the only thing I probably will keep from my old system would be the 2TB HDD. This is more of an experiment than anything, getting other peoples views on different builds before making my own decision and finding out its not as good as I wanted it to be. I would prefer to spend under £1,000 but its not a necessity at all, as long as its powerful. 😉

Thanks a lot guys for the ones who take time to read and give me a helping hand, I'm not a newbie with all this stuff so be as complicated as you want! Thanks again. 😀

Sir, I can see why are you sick of your current build. Your graphics card is way too slow for modern games. Maybe you should consider upgrading it first + getting an SSD and see how happy you are? If you are not, you can still transfer both components to a new rig. Just saying.

This looks like my kind of build! Ill probably just keep my standard 2TB for now, use that with it and see how it goes. I already have a 450W Coolermaster Power Supply in my old system, how much power does that GPU need? I could also take the 8GB RAM out of my old system so Ill be saving a fair amount of money just there, depending on how much W is needed for this build?

Thanks mate!

You'll need at least a 500w for that GPU. Your old 450w PSU is not recommended, especially for a new build. Get the 550w PSU I included in that build. It's a much better quality brand. As for the RAM, as long as it's at least 1333 MHz, that should be fine, but I'd recommend at least 1600 Mhz. You can even include your old HDD and a new one for additional storage. And the i7-4790k turbo clock speed (4.4 GHz) is already high right out of the box so you don't need to overclock it for at least the first two years. It's needed for CPU-intensive games like Crysis 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Okay that's fine I'll probably get the new PSU, the new RAM and might get a new HDD and move my games to that one, use the other one for other basic things. Thanks for all the help I appreciate it 😀
