So, I've never had to get a new case before, and I'm pretty limited in general of my knowledge of computer building. But my current case is starting to get old, and the parts inside of it are starting to get cramped and hot

What information would I need to give to be able to have you guys help me find a case that is compatible/fits my parts?

I beleive this is my current motherboard, assumnig that's something you need to know

Good picture. Now I'm with you. Time for more room.
I have these listed in the my order of preference; which ones I would choose 1st, 2nd etc. I did not use price as a major point except for the big and beautiful Corsair 900 - give you more room than you will ever need but to much money for me.
I have Cooler Master in my #1 spot as I personally really like these cases. My friend built an OC'd i7 rig with the 932: has never had a cooling problem; and I love my Sniper. [BTW, the family pc's I built with the Rosewill cases do not have nearly the components in them that you have, nor are they hard-core gaming systems. I still like the Redbone cases if everything fits.]

Kinda hard to recommend a case just based on what motherboard and video card you have as there are literally thousands of choices.
Give us an idea of what you do with your pc, and perhaps why the old case has to be replaced. Once the forum members can see what is going to be built into the case we'll give you some suggestions. Also, so we can refer you to the correct retailers or on-line etailers, where you live if other then the U.S.

Well, I'm american. I use my PC mostly for gaming, and I do a lot of it, so it gets a lot of use. My old case needs to be replaced because at the moment, it only has one working fan left in it, and my parts are starting to overheat. I've upgraded and replaced all the parts of my computer, other than my case, and that's what I'm looking to replace next.

I don't care about it being fancy, with LEDs that flash a mission different colors. I just need a decent looking case, that can keep my parts cool, and as big enough to fit.

Edit: Not that I'm against LEDs, I'm not, but it isn't a priority.

I'm going to use Newegg for my suggestions, but you can go to pcpartpicker.com and you might find better prices.
These will be conservative in price as I don't know your budget, and mid-towers in size; full towers will hold more and have a bit better airflow (if for no other reason then internal volume/room), but don't know if you want to go that big.
This is a very good mid-range, mid-tower case, and comes in black also. Good airflow etc.

I've built two of my families computers with this case and for the price it might be the best deal out there;
Rosewill REDBONE U3 - Mid Tower Computer Case - Black SECC Steel, USB 3.0, eSATA, 3 x 120mm Fans

Same case in black:

Another Rosewill. Built my son's pc into this, easy enough to work in and good airflow

Cooler Master make good stuff. If you don't need front panel USB 3.0, then consider the HAF 912. This is the HAF 922 (HighAirFlow)[ of note, 1652 customer reviews with overall rating of 5-of-5]

There are a few for consideration, and there are a lot more. Hope this helps.

Size isn't an issue for me, as long as all my parts fit and it can keep them cool, so mid or full, it doesnt really matter. I'm just sure what size my case is right now, but my parts barely fit, and there are quite a few close calls/parts touching in some circumstances.

I'm leaving for a Dr. apptmt., will try to make suggestion or two this afternoon or so. Is it possible to post a picture of your current case to this thread? There's a learning curve but I have used www.imgur.com in the past.

(Out of stock, the Rosewill THOR is also quite nice and has received some very good professional reviews)

Other then the Corsair, which I have seen in person and is a beautiful case with lots of room for components and to work within, the price range is about $150 - just under $200.
You may be able to find better prices with a little shopping at www.pcpartpicker.com. At least on the non-Rosewill brands as that is Newegg's house brand.

You might want to take a look at some of AZZA 's cases; they make a good product.

So, your top pick then would be the HAF X. My only question is, my motherboard will fit into it, right? May be a bit ovrely paranoid about getting it then realizeing it doesnt fit.

yep, along with all your other stuff and the case is built so you can get most of your wiring hidden and out of the way of the airflow.

Fantastic. As you saw with my current case, the side panel is gone completely, and I'vre been putting that box fan in frobnt of it, and it still overheats, giving me warnings about cpu heat getting to 150. I'll look into getting the HAF X and hopefully that wil lfix my problems

I think you'll love that HAF X.
Is that 150 degrees Centigrade or Fahrenheit? Gotta be Fahrenheit, otherwise it would have burned up by now and your pc would have given pleanty of warnings of problems. 150F is about 66C and that's within normal operating range.

If your monitoring program is showing 150C, and the PC is still running, try another monitoring program or check the temp by re-starting and going into the BIOS and looking at the Hardware Monitor in there.
The big case will be an improvement, but until you get it, try a couple more tricks.
First, your PC doesn't look to dirty, but a good cleaning might help. I keep mine really clean, so two days ago when I cleaned it I didn't think much of it; but my GPU temps have been 2 degrees Cent. cooler since then - and it wasn't hardly dirty!
Second: Your Thermal Interface Compound, often called Thermal Paste or Thermal Grease, under your CPU may have dried out or otherwise stopped transferring heat properly. Buy a small quantity of good TIM (I recommend Arctic Silver 5, Tuniq TX4 or TX2) and follow this guide for replacing the TIM.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/333968-28-thermal-paste-removal-installation-guide
Only thing I would suggest different from what is in the guide: use just a small "drop" of TIM on the CPU, about the size of a BB or grain of rice. You want just enough to fill in the microscopic imperfections of the two metals and it will spread from the pressure of your cooler when you re-mount it. Too much is as bad or worse than not enough.
