Hey guys, i need ur help.
I want to upgrade my CPU and i know that ill have to upgrade my motherboard aswell (supports only ddr2 ram cards ><"). But, i dont really have any clue where to start and what to search for.

I dont want the heavy kind of stuff like intel i7, just somthing that will run today's modern games (Shadow of mordor, Dragon age: Inquisition..) in a bareably medium quality.
I really dont want anything too fancy because my budget is really really tight...

Also i want to buy a new ram and motherboard that will fit the CPU, so please tell ur recommandation to that aswell.

This is my current build:

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz 36 °C
Wolfdale 45nm Technology
RAM
3.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 333MHz (5-5-5-15)
Motherboard
MSI G41M4 (MS-7592) (CPU 1) 26 °C
Graphics
EVGA Nvidia Geforce 750 1GB Superclocked

Thanks!

That CPU is really old I think released in 2007 or 2009. So good luck trying to find a motherboard for it that supports ddr3 ram. What is your budget?? you have a workable graphics card already so just replace the cpu+mobo+ram and reuse everything else. This can be done in $150-$200 dollars and I should warn you that any ddr3 mobo for that cpu is likely produced long ago and the seller WILL charge you premium prices for it.

Thats what i said in the post, that i want to upgrade my CPU and THEN fit a motherboard to the NEW one...

Oh sorry for misunderstanding i thought you wanted new mob+ram to fit your CURRENT cpu. LOL. Anyways take a look at this and tell what you think.

Thanks for the fast answer!
can u tell me excatly what will this processor will be able to do? what will it be able to run?

This is an unlocked haswell Pentium 3.2 GHz. Its dual core with no hyper threading but as it is unlocked it can be overclocked to 3.7 to 3.8 [with aftermarket cooler it can go even higher] so it competes with other AMD solution like the x4 and fx series cpus. The i3 cpus can beat it though as they have hyper threading but i3 cost $130+ so from a price point of view it is a good deal. Take a look at the following articles to estimate the cpu performance.

To summarize, the G3258 is a good bang for bucks cpu for low budget gamers.

IMO, this is bare minimum for playing anything close to modern games.
Your GTX 750 will plug right in to it no problem.
The motherboard is ATX and needs a mid or full tower to fit into.

Its not just a bit more, its 70$ compared to 180$...

What is bare minimum, what i have now or the Pentium G3258?

The i3 build I suggested.

And how is it with the Pentium G3258?

Sure, but the other options are still dual cores like your c2d.

The G3258 is not worth the trouble unless you are an experienced overclocker. Even then it may struggle at times, and newer games may not even run at all since it is only 2 cores with no hyperthreading. Also, you will need to buy a good CPU cooler to overclock the G3258. A core i5 is the best choice, but if you can't afford one, the i3 would be the next best choice for an Intel based system.

The G3258 needs to be overclocked to get a good performance. But it is not worthless either. This link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pentium-g3258-b81-cheap-overclocking,3888-8.html shows viability of G3258 overclocking with stock cooler and the motherboard I suggested. And as for the dual core problem of games like far cry 4 is solved with fixes. A lot of people game on dual core machines and such fixes for any problem games will surely continue to come for a year or two more still. It is a question of expenditure vs convenience. If you want a no effort build go for the i5 or i3 as suggested by @Archaic59 but if you're willing to put in research and work to save money then go for the G3258 like I suggested.

If you're willing to spend more than $100 on the CPU itself then go for the i3. It is more future proof as the AM3+ socket for the fx series is effectively dead. You would have to change your mobo and cpu again within a year to be able to play the latest games. With a good lga 1150 board 2-3 years down the road you can drop an haswell i5 or i7 which will become cheap.
