Need A New CPU ;/ HELLLPPPP

I'm looking for a new CPU for under £170

my current specs go like this:
CPU: AMD FX-6350
MOBO: asus m5a97 le r2.0
Memory: 8gb dual channel ddr3 (i have 16gb now)
GPU: AMD R9 270X OC
PSU: 550W Super Flower 80+Gold

If you can afford it, I'd go with a GTX 970 on that rig...it's much better than the GTX 960. Though, if budget does not permit the 970...your setup looks good to me!

the 970 is a bit over my budget, i could afford getting a R9 380?
(MSI AMD R9 380 Gaming Graphics Card (4 GB, PCI-E 3.0, GDDR5, 256 Bit, DVI-I, HDMI))

The setup with the MSI 97Z, 4690K, and GTX 960 is good then for your budget.

The AMD R9 380 uses much more power and is basically a space heater...stick with Intel and Nvidia.
