Need a new monitor (low budget UK)

I have an 8 year old monitor and figured it was probably a good time to upgrade. I don't want to spend more than £150. I looked at PCgamer and they recommended this monitor?

Willl that be a noticeable difference on my really old monitor? Is it worth it?

That monitor is fairly good for the price, it should show a good difference compared to an 8 year old monitor. I would prefer the Asus VX239H:

Ok thanks, what's the difference between the 2? Is it worth spending £15 more for the first one?

Actually, never mind what I said. The Viewsonic is also flicker free and has faster response time. It seems like a very good choice for 109 GBP! The LG seems identical to the Asus, it wouldn't be worth 15 quid more for the Asus.
