Last Christmas I was gifted an HP 500-164 Desktop which is all around a pretty good mid-level gaming desktop, however I wanted to beef it up a bit so I got the Nvidia GTX 750Ti Graphics card. However, I should have done more research because the GTX 750Ti requires 300 clean watts from a power supply and my integrated power supply just barely clears the minimum, so i'm going to have to get a better power supply. Considering my goal is to simply have a power supply that is good enough to run this card, what's a cheap one that's compatible with my computer?
Also, whenever I put my graphics card in my computer it doesn't even recognize that I have added a card. Not in my device manager or in my BIOS. I have also tried all of the steps listed here

and it didn't work for me. I know I need a new power supply anyway, but if my computer's not even recognizing the graphics card isn't that a separate issue?
