Hi there,
Was hoping someone could help me pick the right power supply after I recently upgraded my GPU. I have:
RTX 4090

i9-10850k

Corsair H150i Elite Capellix cpu cooler

3 other Corsair case fans

I was just hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to what PSU would be best for this setup. I currently have an Thermaltake toughpower 850W which I read and heard isn’t optimal for my GPU and I’m probably not getting the most out of it, which I definitely am not. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Trying to keep the price under 240 or around that. Thanks again!

i9-10850K - 125W, RTX 4090 - 400W = 525W, MBD: 90W, SSD+RAM+HDD = Max. 100W.

Total: 715W --- so suggesting a budget at least bronze PSU of 850W of Corsair( CV or higher) or Gigabyte will be best

You should get more wattage than you might think.
4090 cards do need a lot of power.
But, past that, new gen cards like 3000 and 4000 series may have very high demand spikes that are twice the nominal power.
Think 1000w. Do not worry about power usage, a psu will only use the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.

Next, buy only a quality unit. Most 1000w units will have a decent 10 year warranty.
Look for corsair rm or seasonic focus or prime.
Here is a seasonic prime 1300w unit with a 12 year warranty.
It actually costs less than the 1000w version:
