Last week I changed my ISP which meant they took back their modem/router and I don't want to pay a monthly fee to use the one provided by my new ISP. I was hoping to get some recommendations for a new router? Not looking for anything too expensive. I would prefer to stay under $100. My house is roughly 4,000 sqft and the router is going to be placed at one end of the house. So based on these specifications would anyone recommend me some routers?

Brighthouse = cable(coax), right?

A single well placed router could probably (sort of) do WiFi over the whole house. In the center of the house.
The router at one end...hopefully not in the garage or basement...the other end of the house upstairs WILL suffer for WiFi.
No matter what router you get.

That size house and router location is going to be the main issue.

Cable, DSL, fiber? From who?
Individual modem and router?
Is the house wired for coax throughout?

Most all current consumer grade routers broadcast at the max allowable signal strength. So not really a lot of difference.

ISP is Brighthouse, seperate modem and router, and I don't think the house is wired for coax.
