I've sold my iMac 27 and I'm going back to pc.
I'm building myself a x99 build for my home studio hobby (6 cores!!)
But I would also like to game on it, I won't go SLI or crossfire
I'll buy only one video card so no problems with only 28 lanes.

My problem is I really like the iMac image quality so at first I wanted to order
a dell U2715h. But I've got a ps4 in the living room that I would like to bring in my
home stutio pc room......and ps4 on 1440???

I want a 27-32 inch monitor but 1080p resolution is not enough... at 1440.
will the ps4 really look bad upscaled? I can't play in the living room.... I have a 4 year old
daughter and my girlfriend, no way I can use this TV 😛

Waht about the ben q scaling options!?

You likely will be able to notice the upscaled 1080P, but I don't think that it will be that bad of a picture especially while gaming.

Tell me what graphic card you have? your price range seems good for freesync and gsync monitors meaning that if you have nvidia graphic card you could go and buy a gsync monitor and if you have ati/amd graphic card you could go and buy a freesync monitor (you won't notice any tearing while gaming if you do that)

I've finally ordered the Dell U2715h, a 1440p ips pannel ,since I'm coming from mac(iMac 27 and MacBook pre retina) I find it pretty dificult to get back to tn monitor.... My video card is an msi 970 100 millions edition.
I'll be using it for home studio 60% and gaming and web for the rest. So I don't mind getting a bit of latency etc on gaming, I want better image quality

The Dell UltraSharp monitors have been a standard in the IPS monitor market for many years. It may be too late now, but there are some new IPS monitors coming this summer that solve the latency that you mentioned.
