Hey i just baught a new monitor and it works perfectly fine for a few secs now it wont show it says its detected but the monitor settings are grey so i cant change resolution or anything what is wrong i know its not the screen im using a monitor to adapter vga and the adapter is a vga to dp port ow and i use a windows 10 OS

So the monitor worked for a few seconds and now it doesn't? When it worked was that while the PC was booting up and you saw the BIOS screens and when it began to load Windows it shut off?
