Need a quality and reliable motherboard

Building a new rig for the first time and I've been comparing motherboards but can't decide because every mobo has it's ups and downs. What I need is a QUALITY and RELIABLE motherboard that has little to no chance of being DOA, is z97, has some good features for gaming like gigabit lan etc etc and in the same price range of the MSI z97 Gaming 5 which I had in mind(tell me if it's good too).
