Hi Guys,

I bought am Alpha Pal 8045 with the Delta 80mm fan 4000 RPM
and 46.1 CFM. It's WAY loud. I'm using it with an Athlon 2000 XP but no overclocking in an Antec 1040 case.

Guys could you recommend me a fan that is quiet for this ?

Is the 80mm fan @ 28CFM from Quiet PC up to the task ? it's
only 20dB maybe not. What else can I use before I go insane.

Thanks

Look at this fan from Thermaltake. Someone on another thread brought it up and I did the research. Compared to it's peers this fan has the best CFM for the noise level(dBA).

If you are willing to do a retrofit to a larger fan onto your Alpha heatsink, you can get more CFM with less noise or even get the same CFM with a lot less noise. Say putting a 92mm fan on there instead of the 80mm fan. I can help you if you like. See here for a step by step. It is a little different but it works for the Alpha PAL 8045 as well.

Okay, that's three threads I've seen you post the exact same thing. Can you stop it? I don't even know if it's that relevant in this post...straight brutal...

if your not overclocking the retail fan is good and isn't that bad in noise... or you can buy a low RPM Coolermaster... it will be real quiet
