Need a reliable but inexpensive GPU for gaming

I just got more into PC gaming and my current graphics card (Radeon HD 4850) keeps over heating and shutting my computer down when I play for more than a few minutes (depends on the game, some games I can go for about an hour.) I think the fan on it stopped working because when I check the temps it gets ridiculously high and it's never done that before. I don't know a whole lot about graphics cards, but I've been learning a lot more about them over the last few days. I'm wondering if it's even possible to get a GPU that will run games like Skyrim, Battlefield, Civ 5, etc., for around $50-$70? (Until I can afford an official badass one, that is.)

Here are my system specs in case that will help.
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.10GHz
RAM: 8GB
PSU: Bestec atx-250-12z
Plenty of HD space
1920 X 1080 resolution

Not sure what other information would be helpful but I'm willing to provide any info needed.

actually the 6570 is already slower than the one you already have. but the psu you have you cant relay on! you need a new psu if you are going to upgrade. you should get a 500w quality one from xfx, corsair ,antec,seasonic and get 7770 with 2gb or 7790 if you can. the will work great on your machine. upgrading to a high-end one will result to a cpu botleneck.

Hey, for the price range that you have there is no real solution for buying a card that will run games at 720p let alone 1080p. What i suggest is to try and replace the cooler on your current graphics card. This may seem daunting but you will soon see that's it's a viable option if you look up a few videos on youtube. Buying a replacement graphics card cooler will fit your budget and will prolong the life of your current card until you can afford a decent card. You might even be able to add an overclock to the card with it's new cooler to give you a performance boost over from what you had! Hope this helps
