Question Need a second opinion on what Cooler I should get

I'm debating whether I should I go with a top of the line air-cooler that can fit in my case, which can fit a cooler up to around 6 inches, or with a water cooler such as the Corsair H100i 240mm. The thing is though, the case has an optical drive that I'm currently using, which would move the radiator on the AIO down below the pump, which I know isn't that good for the pump's lifespan. So I want to know if I should get an AIO and risk an earlier pump death, or get a top of the line air-cooler. Right now, I'm using the stock cooler that came with the Ryzen 7 2700x, and I'm a little dissatisfied with how loud the noise is during gaming. I'm getting temps up to 85*C, and the fan on it is a little loud when it gets up to that temp, which is why I'm trying to upgrade the cooler. Another thing is that the current case I have can't have the AIO Rad mounted on top, because there are clearance issues with the motherboard and the optical drive.

Specs:
MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wifi B450
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x (Stock Settings, PBO on)
CPU Cooler: Wraith Prism (Stock Cooler)
GPU: RTX 3060 Ti (Gigabyte Gaming OC Rev. 1.0)
RAM: Vengeance RGB Pro 3600mhz 4x8 (Underclocked to 3200 mhz due to stability issues)
PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-850 Gold
Case: DIYPC TG8-BR

I would personally go with an air cooler rather than wasting money on an AIO knowing that it will likely die earlier than expected if I install an AIO orientation like that. According to my research, your case supports up to 163mm cooler height - which means many of the top-end air coolers won't fit (like Noctua NH D-15, Deepcool Assassin III, bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 4) aside from like a Scythe Fuma 2, Scythe Mugen Rev B/S, Noctua NH-U12A/U12S, Arctic eSports 34 Duo, bequiet! Dark Rock 4.

Mugen 5 is expensive for what it offers. I'd take the extra plunge to the FUMA 2.
If available, these may also be options:
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, TA140 EX, and Macho Rev. C

I like Noctua, but the price of the U12A is hard for even me to bear. There's NH-D15S.

So would the NH-D15S be able to clear the ram I have? it's about 51mm in height, and the D15S has a clearance of 65 mm.

It would clear the ram easily, as Noctua made it as a more compact version of the original NH-D15.
160mm tall, instead of 165mm.
The finstack is offset; the original D15 blocks the top PCIe slot on some motherboards, or can make contact with the backplate on some gpus.
It's single fan. The front fan on the original sits over the ram slots.

I'll probably just get that one then

I have been running a bequiet cooler for about 2 years now and had no issues. just as a course of action i change the thermal paste every year but thats no big deal, so i would go with an air cooler, The cpu you have is fine with that

Update: Got the Noctua NH-D15S, temps are much better, low 60s in most games, much more quiet too than the stock cooler
