Hi,

I need a suggestion on getting a budget MOBO.

Currently I am using Ryzen 3 1300x with Asus B450M-K MOBO. My MOBO has issues and Needs replacement.

I am looking for a Budget / Good MOBO which can also support my future upgrade of Processor and Graphic Card.

So please suggest a good MOBO that goes well with my GPU 1050TI.

My other Specs are below.

GPU 1050TI
PSU ANTEC VP 550
RAM COSAIR 2*8 GB (16 GB)
Kingston 2*500 GB SSD

Regards,
Santosh Balaji

Hey Santosh,

Well, if you are sticking with your current hardware, practically any B350/450/550, A320,mobo will do just fine. The mobo will not make your performance boost in anyway. It will bring new connections, so maybe thats something to think about.

What CPU and GPU do you intend to upgrade to? If it's a Ryzen 5xxx series and and RTX 3xxx/4xxx then you could get a B550.

This mobo MSI MAG B550M Mortar pretty solid, and will take a 5800x/3d and a powerful GPU like RTX2070/2080 - 3060ti to 3080/3090 Radeon 6600/XT/6700/6800/6900, or latest gen for both.

Hi,

Thanks a lot.

Can you please suggest if Intel is better than Ryzen.

If yes can you please suggest a MOBO and Processor at around 20K.

Regards,
Santhosh.

As mentioned, with a 1300 you can use almost any AM4 motherboard so the only real limit is going to be what's available to you in your region. It's not helpful for us to suggest boards that are not available to you so probably better for you to browse the places you shop for your gear and pick out a selection of AM4 boards that meet your budget and ask for advice for which is better or fits your needs.

There are a few pointers: B350 boards in general have weaker power delivery for more powerful CPU's and B550 boards are generally better at power delivery for even the most powerful CPU's. B450 are pretty much in the middle. That's only an important consideration if you plan on ever upgrading from your current processor.
