Your gaming performance will be primarily be determined by the graphics card you use.
Unfortunately, good cards are hard to come by, let alone for less than 2x msrp.

Find your graphics card first.
I would try for a 3000 series card, 3070 or better.
You could try the newegg shuffle.
Or, consider a pre built pc which includes the card you want.
If budget is no object, you can find what you want new on ebay.

For gaming, you want a few fast cores.
Few games can make effective use of more than 4-6 cores.
Ryzen 5000 series, or Intel 11th gen have improved performance per clock.
5600x or I7-11700K would be reasonable.

What is your budget?

There are significant problems with this build. A Threadripper + TR4 motherboard makes absolutely zero sense and will be matched easily in gaming by a $200 CPU with a $200 motherboard. Unless you have significant workstation needs, it's a thousand bucks spent for literally nothing.

If the need is this urgent that you can't get by with a GT 1030 or something, it makes sense to simply get a prebuilt, either from someone like Dell or configurated from a boutique. For example, Falcon NW is one of the best builders out there in quality and they usually have high prices to match, but for $2000 less than your proposal, you can get a 5800X with a 3070.

What is the actual budget here? And how urgent is the build?
