My pc uses a 650w psu and the only reason i got it is, because my gpu, msi 2070 super gaming x trio, has a 650 recommended, and because it was only 10e more than the 550. I figured it could perhaps be ok for a future upgrade. Now, from what i understand, even with that gpu and my ryzen 5 3600 ill probably never go above 550. Most people said i should have gotten a 550 psu even.

Do i need a 1000VA ups? will i be ok with a smaller one? ill put the pc on ups, my aoc monitor which is 28w and the speakers ill buy which will be either 42 or 75w..
The current ups im looking at are these: Im buying locally btw.

I dont care about uptime. 20 secs should be enough to save and shutdown. What do you guys think?

Solution
fair enough. i dont even remember the uptime of these UPS, i was talking in general.
what would you recommend then?
I would recommend you get actual usage readings of your PC with something like this -- https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU THEN use that information on APCs website -- https://www.apc.com/products/runtime_for_extendedruntime.cfm?upsfamily=27 to find a unit with 10 to 15 min hold up time.
If in the US, get a unit with a USB port so that your PC can monitor the UPS and automatically shutdown before the battery is exhausted.
And remember that the lifespan of UPS batteries is 3 to 5 years. So be surprised when you need to replace the battery.

That assumes you are sitting at the PC the moment a power hit happens. What about when you go get a drink or use the bathroom. 30 seconds is a stupidly short hold time. I wouldn't think less than 10min would be acceptable.
