Need administration permission to open files in D and E partition after Windows 10 fresh install

I just upgraded to 64 bit Windows 10 from 32 bit. Everything appears to be as is, but when I try to open any folder in the D and E partitions, it asks me to provide administrator permissions, and I have to press OK to open them. I have to only do this once, but why is this happening? Is this because Windows still recognises the previous installation's admin permissions? Can I somehow reset permissions to default?

If those "files" existed under the old user account (redirected Libraries?), yes, this is exactly what happens.

Even if your new username is exactly the same, NTFS sees that as a different user account.

The solution here is to take ownership of all of those files.
