I have the Asus PB278QV monitor. I need a pc that powerful enough to run my monitor at full resolution and I would be glad if you share your wisdom. My budget probably won't be a good determining factor because I live in Eastern Europe and our currency is not € or $. I want to build a pc with the minimum specs that can play 1440p YouTube videos easily. Also it would be awesome if it can run 1080p pcsx2/duckstation emulator gaming without lag. I am a retro guy. My priority is getting older generation, 2nd hand parts. What do you guys think?

any modern iGPU can run any resolution you require, so the 1440p thing really isn't an issue here at all.

for emulating the PS2, that may be considered a form of pirating so i'm not sure how the staff here at Tom's would feel about discussing it on these forums.
but anyway, for performance aspects just look up what the actual console used for a graphics processor and then search for something more powerful for your computer.

i would probably try looking for a used "gaming" laptop from the last 10 years or so that someone is looking to unload for cheap.
you can just output through HDMI to whatever TV or monitor you have around for watching videos.

My friend got a new pc and I bought his old one. The specs:

SSD: Crucial CT500P2SSD8 M.2 NVMe
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
RAM: 16GB DDR4
GPU: GTX 1650

It is great for playing retro games. Also can watch 1440p Youtube videos.
