I'm not particularly savvy with IT hardware, so even after doing a little research would feel more comfortable with advice from people that know what they are talking about!
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: next couple of months, budget of £150-300
USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Used mostly for strategy/tactical games such as Civ6 and World of Tanks rather than mmo or fps.
SYSTEM SPECS:
i5-6500 3.2ghz
z170 gaming k3 motherboard
8gb ram
600w aerocool 80+ psu
I DID have a gtx 970 graphics card... but it went pop during the week. I've managed to get my hands on a very cheap 2nd hand 780 ti (which i gather is sort of equivalent...) as an interim fix but not too comfortable sticking with 2nd hand long term so was considering other options - hence the question
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: In the UK so anywhere that is good online. Currently looking at scan.co.uk
PARTS PREFERENCES: none really, although more familiar with Nvidia
OVERCLOCKING: Maybe
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080
Am I right in thinking a gtx 1060 6gb is probably the top end of what my system can utilize effectively, and is the PSU going to be an issue? Deal on below for £167:

If so, is I worth getting, or is it worth stumping up for a 1660 as an investment for a potential PC upgrade in 18 months time (again, assuming PSU is up to it?)
