Hi
i'm going to be saving up for a new gaming PC and I am looking for advice on the current parts for the build. This will be the first time that I am going to build a PC so I'm not sure if everything is compatible. My PC case is going to be white so the parts need to fit that theme.

My current idea for parts are:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor (£329.99 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM SE 63 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£139.99 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z390-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£162.22 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£88.76 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: PNY CS900 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£16.47 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£34.54 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB VENTUS OC Video Card (£362.10 @ Amazon UK)
Case: NZXT S340 Elite ATX Mid Tower Case (£89.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£96.42 @ Amazon UK)
Case Fan: be quiet! Pure Wings 2 120 PWM 87 CFM 120 mm Fan (£8.99 @ Amazon UK) Total: £1329.47

my budget is preferably below £1400 but I am willing to go a little above

Parts would preferably be from amazon since I get free shipping

I am going to overclock the cpu and gpu so I am going to need a decent cooler.

thanks

Both should perform pretty close to each other.

Solution
With that budget, you can do a lot better for CPU and GPU performance. You can also get 32 gb of fast RAM while still leaving about 65-90 euros for a decent case. Its not worth going intel if an older 8700k costs more than a similarly performing 3700x which comes with a cooler that does its job well. So you save 150 euros on the CPU and cooling going with AMD. That can easily be used to get way better graphics performance in the 5700 XT. The 70 or so Euros more overall for a build like this is significantly more powerful and not to mention 1TB of one of the fasted NVMe ssds you can buy. If you wanted to cut some cost I'd recommend going with a decent 3600 speed 16 gb (2x8) RAM kit.
