I have Hyper 212 led TURBO, its not Evo, its not black edition, its not standard evo.

Since i upgraded to 5600x i have annoying random boosting up to high 60's. In game, avg temps stay around 65-70c, it get up to 85 while loading or launching.
I researched a bit and found that my cooler have this specs:
Fan Airflow 66.3 CFM ± 10%
Fan Air Pressure 1.7 mmH2O ± 10%
up to 1600rpm
up to 31db

while 212 Black edition have
Fan Speed 800-2000 RPM (PWM) ± 10%
Fan Airflow 42 CFM (Max)
Fan Air Pressure 2.9 mmH2O
26db

Some guy posted how he got 10c lower temp after upgraded from 212evo to 212black.

So will i feel difference if i get black one?
Or should i get Be Quiet dark rock pro 4, since it looks really good but i heard people have weird temps with it on 5600x? Or scythe Fuma 2?

Keep in mind that i am looking for kinda silent fans, with decently good cooling capabilities.

But it's not all about CPU cooler itself, when it comes to air coolers, it's just as important to have good case cooling in proper configuration.

Normal for Ryzen 5000. AMD designed them with a very aggressive turbo boost; even at 90-95C, the cpu will still turbo up before throttling back down due to temperature.
To offset that, use more aggressive fan curves - within what can be tolerated. A higher rpm, but relatively flat curve is easier on the ears than one bouncing up and down frequently.
Cpu Upper Temperature Target: 75C
Fan rpm for Cpu Upper Limit: 100%
Cpu Middle Temperature Target: 60C
Fan rpm for Cpu Middle Limit: 80%
Cpu Lower Temperature Target: 45C
Fan rpm for Cpu Lower Limit: 80%
The fan curve for the 3 Phanteks T30-120s I'm using as bottom intake literally looks like that. Don't follow this to a T - this was just an example.

"it get up to 85 while loading or launching."
Suspecting if the low load voltage curve from the motherboard is a bit aggressive, or there's some overclock active.
Disable PBO if it's active, and perhaps update the bios if you haven't done so already; they sometimes contain improved voltage curves. Another option is Windows power plan on balanced.

The fan specs don't mean too much, when hardly anyone runs their fans at 100%. To make things more unpredictable, when below 100% rpm, fan performance does not scale linearly; fans will do better/worse than one another at given fan speeds.

@CountMike Hey, totally forgot to tell what is my case, its cooler master MB520, there is 510 variation with mesh while this one have plastic at front, so i am not sure if some mesh case would help?
Got 3 cooler master fan intakes and 1 exhaust, gonna get 2 more exhaust at top, il get artic f12 or p12? Heard F are for better airflow while P12 are for higher pressure.

Hey, PBO is turned off i do not even want to know what will happen if i turn that on :"D, my bios is up-to date, and yeah i used balanced power plan! My normal voltage while i am browsing at average is like 1.2 while when boosting it goes up to 1.4. B450 Tomahawk non-max

So i do not need to upgrade fan at all? Or maybe some liquid AIO like Freezer 240 would help? Fuma 2 looks good, but still not sure if i will see any improvement over 212 turbo led. I mean its quite weird if those higher 'class' coolers would do pretty much the same with this insane 5000 series boosting habit.

My normal voltage while i am browsing at average is like 1.2 while when boosting it goes up to 1.4.
Pretty typical report. Both Ryzen and Core i exhibit similar behavior.
Cpu load is low... the core(s) wants to hurry up and do whatever the task(s) is and go to sleep. The board needs to supply enough voltage for that sudden burst to avoid crashing due to low voltage.
Cpu load is higher... the cores spend more time active, and higher levels of voltage aren't needed for that.

The boosts are so brief at low load, there's no time for any kind of heat soak to occur. What good is a bigger cooler for that?
An AIO would reduce low load temperatures some more because it has a higher volume of liquid in it than an air cooler, but it's not going to miraculously drop it 10C or something.

That the cpu sees higher temperatures running .exes than gaming, instead of the other way around... I wonder if there's an issue with airflow or the current fan curves..?
Remove the front and side panels and test?

@Phaaze88
Yeah il remove front and side case pannel! Not sure if i said earlier, but my room airflow is really terrible, atm is like around 30c, i use air conditioning when i must since i do not like to use it always.

I might need some kind of mesh or better airflow case, could you reccomened me some of those LC POWER (German, not so popular company), since they are really budget friendly,

https://www.monitor.rs/kucista?limi...tail=Min:1610-Max:111655&Proizvođač=LC Power&

i prefer to be up to 5000 rsd range. Might be better to change case instead of Fuma 2.

@Phaaze88

Okay so, i was afraid to open front case lol, i just opened it from both sides i am using some LCD digital thermometer and i put sensor on hottest spot in case, which is between cpu exhaust fan, and fan exhaust fan. With 2 sides open is like 37.5- 38c, average temps are around 58c - 59c right now while playing Lost ark .
Now after putting glass side back, average cpu got to 61-62c, and thermometer sensor shows between 41-42c between cpu and case exhausts. Keep in mind that right side is still open since i need to re arrange cables so i can close it.
Thanks a lot for helping buddy, what you think cooler or case is the problem?

I thought this was about the 'up to 85C while loading or launching .exes', not gaming loads. What happened to those? Did they go down at all?
No one made any complaints about the gaming temperatures you reported, as those were absolutely fine.

Short session, but its late night atm and current outside temp is 21c - max was hitting 74.5c.
I should try with open case tommorow with mid 30's.

Hey, i have found the issue! I bought 5 artic p12's pwm fans and i used it instead hyper evo led fans, and got +2 exhausts at top, now temps are way better it goes up to 78c max with closed case + 31c room temp, so i think i fixed problem! New pc case could be good upgrade as well, i was looking at MS industrial v715 or titan 2 pro if i find it.

Hence my post. In ideal conditions temps should be better when case is closed because of better and uniform air circulation.
