need advice for a 3d monitor

my gpu is 7970 ghz edition, can anyone suggest a good 3d monitor for this gpu for gaming and movies.
i've looked up some monitors like sa950d but it is good for 2d, 3d isn't that good.
i've heard about the nvidia 3d vision it seemed nice but will it support 7970 or do i have to get a nvidia gpu?

The Samsung's have the best HD3D monitors that work with AMD. Nvidia 3D Vision monitors require an Nvidia video card, though some let you play HD3D through HDMI, but that limits you to 720p or 24hz.

I personally would recommend selling the 7970 and getting an Nvidia card if you are serious about 3D. There is more support for 3D Vision: http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist

You are likely to hold onto your monitor longer than your video card, so it is usually best to get the monitor of your choice before worrying about the video card.
