Leaving for college in 3 weeks. Trying to get everything organized for a new computer for my little brothers before I leave. I really need some expert advice on this. Please and thank you.
Approximate Purchase Date: within the next two weeks
Budget Range: >$400. Would prefer to keep it closer to $300-$350, but it a bit of budget flexibility can allow for a good increase in power, it can be managed. Rebates are nice as well, but not required
System Usage from Most to Least Important: web browsing, flash games, PC gaming (at least able to run TF2 at a decent level), word processing, listening to music
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg or Amazon
Country of Origin: United States
Parts Preferences: no brand preference. Would just like to avoid low quality components that are prone to failure
Overclocking: maybe
SLI or Crossfire: not likely, considering the budget
Monitor Resolution: n/a
Additional Comments: the easier it is to upgrade at a later date, the better
This is what I have come up with so far. If some components aren't compatible or aren't the best I could get for my money, it is because I am really new to homebuilt computers and have little to no idea what I'm doing. My uncle was going to help with the assembly if I could not figure it out myself. Any/all constructive criticism is welcome.
