Solution
I think a better balance would be a I5-8600K @5.0 and a GTX1080ti.
Stronger graphics is more important for high quality images and fast action performance.
The extra threads of the 8700K will not be used by many games.
Better yet, the i5-9600K and I7-9700K processors will be out soon and should oc even higher.

Your case only has a single 120mm front air intake.
You really need to find a case with two 120/140mm front intakes.
Any cooler and high end graphics card needs a good source of fresh intake air.

NH-D15 is as good as it gets for air, or even a aio. It will come with good paste.
The similarly priced NH-D15s is even better.

120gb is too small for a C drive.
Many things will default to the C drive.
When it nears full, it will...
You don't need thermal paste, the Noctua NH D15 comes with excellent thermal paste.

A better quality SSD and larger, 250 GB like a Samsung EVO 860.

Faster memory, DDR4 3000 or 3200.

A higher tier MB, the one picked is on the low end for Z370 MB's.

A higher end case would be better quality and allow more room for the CPU cooler.

Many things will default to the C drive.
When it nears full, it will lose performance and endurance.
Buy 240gb or larger.
With 500gb, you may never need a hard drive at all.

Why not defer on the hard drive until you actually need the space.
It is easy to add a hard drive later.
