Need advice for new gaming rig: limit $1500

Hello,
I need some advice before building a new rig.Its been 4 years since i last upgrade my pc. You guys can view my setup on my information.

I just need few parts such as : (it really looks like a whole new setup actually)i just used my old optical drive,2 1Tb WD hardisk etc...

Processor : i prefer intel i5 2500 or maybe 2500k (can u guys tell me the different between those two?) 😀

Mobo : any sandybrige mobo (ive been thinking on buying ASUS P8Z68-V or maybe ASUS P8P67)

Rams : 8 GB CORSAIR CMZ-X3M1A1600C9B VENGEANCE or maybe 2x 4GB CORSAIR CMP-X3M2A1600C9 DOMINATOR

HDD : SSD only( for OS )probably OCZ VERTEX 2 SSD 60GB or SEAGATE MOMENTUS XT 500GB ( what are the differrences actually? can

someone help me? )

GPU : I've been thinking either gtx 460 or HD 6870/6850

Psu : Corsair 750 AX or any other brands

Casing : Maybe Silverstone RV02

I cna only help witha couple items as I don't feel I can make a differentiation in some categories as I haven't been paying enough attention 😉

CPU: K version is multiplier unlocked. I think the price difference is quite small, I would get the K version. The 2500 (regular) has a limited multiplier flexibility for Turbo mode, but its not much.

SSD: IMHO I would not get a "Hybrid" SSD. Maybe they've improved a lot, but the one I had just did not compare to an actual SSD (Momentus XT series, 1-2 years back). Personally I'd look at something bigger that 60, but that is as budget allows. 60 will work though as I'm running my laptop on 80, its jsut nice to be able to puts applciaitons you launch everyday on the SSD as well.

i just built my 1st gaming rig, im a new pc gamer / OC,

processor : i5 2500 and 2500k , k is unlocked so you can Overclock it

mobo: asus ASUS P8P67 is good, i went with the MSI P67A-G45 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX motherboard , got it at newegg for 104 after MIR , same almost similar specs as p8p67 just cheaper

RAM, i got G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) $45, right now at newegg there is a special on kingston memory with same specs and free games : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104266&cm_sp=ProductSpotlight-_-20-104-266-_-08222011

my gpu was a good deal and better than a 460: ASUS ENGTX550 GeForce GTX 550 Ti(Fermi) 1GB 192-bit for 120 after MIR

i've read few reviews on SSD n MOmentus XT.....surely momentus XT improves alot from 1st previous version but still cant be compared yet to the SSD type...

surely the MSI P67A-G45 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX motherboard looks cool though.....certain i would consider buying it....

nice suggestion on rams....ill look into it...

about the gpu i've came across reading reviews on mobo that offers PCI Express 3.0 n 2.0..was that a future proof? are there any gpu that uses PCI Express 3.0 just yet? should for mobo that offer PCI express 3.0 slot? hmmmm.....
