So, yeah. I haven't bought a new one in years, and although my Samsung 19" monitor (native resolution of 1440x900) is still going strong, I've decided to get something that's 1080p. That said, I'm really not familiar with many of the brands that are available nowadays, let alone which ones are good. There are a few requirements that I have for the monitor, however, so I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.

Budget: Up to $250, and I'll be purchasing the monitor in roughly 2 weeks or so.

Native Resolution of 1920x1080

HDMI x 2 (One for the PC, the other for a game system)

I'd like something bigger than the monitor I have now. I'm primarily looking between 23-27 inch monitors, but I'm not stuck with them. I'm not really needing anything capable of displaying 3D, either.

Here's a list of LCD monitors with HDMI x 2 and a resolution of 1920x1080. There are a total of 26 ranging between $150 and $550. It also include refurbished and out of stock items.

For budget oriented monitors I generally recommend Asus since they are inexpensive and generally have good build quality.

The ASUS VG Series VG23AH Black 23" 5ms monitor fall in your price range; $220 after rebate. It has an e-IPS panel rather than a TN panel so colors do not shift as much if you were to view the monitor from an angle like when standing up off to the side. It is a "3D monitor"...

It is a "3D monitor", but not a true 3D monitor which also means it would need to be a 120Hz monitor as well, which it isn't. It's "old school 3D" which displays two overlapping images in different colors and your wear the 3D glasses to get the 3D effect.

$30 above your budget is the ASUS VE278H Black 2ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor. Nothing special other than the built-in speakers. It has the typical TN panel found in most budget oriented LCD monitors.
