My old PC is pretty much shot dead. It was a mediocre PC to begin with and is just pretty past its age now.

The biggest problem I ran into with my old PC is my PC would make a TON of dust over time and if I didn't constantly clean it my room would get stuffy and dusty. I don't know if it's because the fans were not good or what but it was not ideal. Is there anything I can do about this?

How much money (not including monitors, mice, keyboard) would I need to put into a good new PC so that it can run like any game out there on at least medium settings? I don't care for peak performance I just want to be able to run demanding games like Cyberpunk smoothly.

Solution
A case with dust filters.

If your definition of "smooth" is 1080p 60fps, then you can spend like $800 and call it a day. But if it's 144fps, then probably close to $1200 if you get the right prices.

The dust issue might be due to the lack of dust filters on older cases, coupled with a negative air pressure setup, which is the worst case scenario for dust buildup

Maybe get an air purifier, both your new build and your lungs will thank you. As for smooth CP, maybe with recent patches you can get away with $1.5k build. Like @Prad_said it depends on your resolution and what you consider smooth. Some people want that 240 hz baby butt smoothness... but I digress.
