[SOLVED] Need advice for what ram I can use

I bought this computer at a garage sale for 15$. I play mostly older games like counter strike source ECT. Wanting to put some ram on it but ran into issues on what will actually work in it

Tried installing two sticks of 4gb ddr3 1600mhz and computer would go past the Acer screen.

While ddr3 is generally quite compatible, the ram you have may not be compatible. What is the exact model number of the ram you have?

These are newer modules and might use a newer design that is incompatible with your system. I would try to source used modules from the same era as your system or some used samsung/hynix/nanya ram as that is very reputable stuff and highly compatible with almost everything.
