Hello everyone.
This week I have a birthday and I want to give myself a gift.:)
I want to upgrade from my current gpu which is rx 570 4gb itx.

my system is :
Asus b450m-a
ryzen 5 3400g
G. Skill (2x8) 16 gb ram ddr4 3200mhz
Corasair vs450w 80+
Transcend 1tb m.2 nvme ssd

my options are the 5600 xt or rtx 2060.
I DONT want to change my psu and I wanted to know if it’s fine for those cards?
which brand should I get (3rd party)?
Is there other options I should consider?
Thanks guys :)

Happy birthday
First things first, that psu is probably not enough for a 5600xt. maybe a 2060, but it's a stretch.

I don't suggest putting the 2 together (for long*). that is a very bottom of the barrel psu.
* It's fine if you plan on upgrading psu soon, just don't keep them together for very long

also, you should probably wait for the 3050 Ti or 3060 non Ti to show up and buy those instead (if they are in stock..) and just get them as a late b-day gift.

Thank you! Which psu I should get?

I you will have to change your powersupply if you want that 5600XT/2060.Both of those gpus require more that 450W so thats the most basic reason you will have to ugprade ur psu if you want 1 of those GPU's.The second reason is that you never only look at the wattage of the powersupply (for example there are a thousand 500W units, that are priced differently and for a reason),you look at the brand, quality, warranty (if ur buying it from a shop). The VS series is in general bad so it was probably only good for the 3400g that you have and maybe a non-powerhughry cards like 1050ti without external psu connectors.I say invest 80-90$ more and get something like this: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...Supply-Units/cx-series-config/p/CP-9020122-NA

I suggest staying with corsair, since I like them personally.

In my opinion, a psu is an investment, and you should get something overkill, because they have very long warranties and last for a long time anyway, so you'll keep them through upgrades in the future.

A TX650M, RM650i or HX650i are all very VERY solid psus from that company.
If you don't want to future proof at all, and just want to be more sure of the power delivery for your own system, the CX550M is a solid choice. Very cheap, but very good for the price and modular, with enough wattage for even minor upgrades, but it's just 1 tier above what you have now, and really isn't worth your time to be honest, I suggest it for new pcs on a budget, but probably not as an upgrade from a VS unit.

@Worlr
5600XT uses 30w more than what you currently have, 2060 uses 40w more.
5600xt is 84% better, 2060 is 90% better.

if you get 3060Ti you'll need 80w extra and you gain 186% performance.
if you wait for non-Ti version of 3060, it's better than 5600xt and 2060 and may be your psu.... just cross your fingers.
don't you want to get a gpu before a psu? I understand you want to unwrap a present soon. but yeah, if you ever need a psu, go much higher than you need.

3060 will be 180w

Happy birthday !

for unbiased information, check this PSU tier list

since you want to change your PSU, aim for a good 750-850w unit. that way you will keep it longer. who knows, maybe in a year or two you will find a great deal on a 3080 or something
check any unit in the A-tier or B-tier. you will probably find one ore more good model on special price.

2 months ago i got for a friend, a 750w seasonic focus gold for 130$cad

get higher wattage, tx is semi modular, rm is full modular.

if you get a higher wattage, it gets less hot and thus fan spins less aggressively or not at all.
btw, how much can you get a gtx1060? it uses 120w same as your current gpu and doesn't require buying new psu.

I think the 1060 is the same as my rx570 so no use in buying that
