Approximate Purchase Date:
Looking for advice to build a new workstation:
Budget Range: CAD$1,800- $2,200
System Usage from Most to Least Important: 3D nurbs and mesh modeling mainly with Rhino v5 (250,000 plus triangles), 3ds Max, Cinema 4D for animation, Lumion, V-ray rendering engine, Photoshop, RealFlow occasionally.
Parts Not Required: Monitors, kboard, mouse
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg Canada,
Country: Victoria, BC, Canada
Parts Preferences: No preference
Overclocking: If you feel it's worth it for best performance
SLI or Crossfire: Not too familiar with that. I'm interested in quality display not fast framerate as for gaming for example. I'll be using GPU rendering fo display (V-Ray RT), Lumion, but CPU raytracing for final renderings.
Monitor Resolution: Dual monitors 1920 x 1080
Additional Comments: I model/render big ships and marine structures. I try to stay away from particles for water effects but rendering of animated sea motion systems with displacement are important in my projects.
Thank you
